The Queen’s Heid was originally broadcast by BBC Radio Scotland on 30 November (St. Andrews Day) 2005.
In 1560. Mary, Queen of Scots returns from France to rule Scotland. Edinburgh publican and idealist Lachie Marr prepares to fully exploit the mood of change by transforming his humble tavern, 'The Queen's Heid', into the capital's hottest night-spot. Unfortunately he hasn't quite remembered the crabbit nature of the Scots.
