by Bob Harris and Alan McFadzean

The Queen’s Heid was originally broadcast by BBC Radio Scotland on 30 November (St. Andrews Day) 2005.

In 1560. Mary, Queen of Scots returns from France to rule Scotland. Edinburgh publican and idealist Lachie Marr prepares to fully exploit the mood of change by transforming his humble tavern, 'The Queen's Heid', into the capital's hottest night-spot. The Queen's Heid is produced and directed by Margaret Ann Docherty.
It stars: Shonagh Price (Mary, Queen of Scots), Sean Scanlan (Lachie Marr), Richard Conlon (Lord James Stewart ('Jimmy')), Tom Freeman (Sandy), Gordon Munro (John Knox).
